Junk Removal Load-Based Pricing That Runs Everywhere

Load-based pricing prices junk removal jobs by how much of a truck the junk fills — not by the hour or per-item. ScaleYourJunk uses six tiers: ⅛ truck, ¼ truck, ½ truck, ¾ truck, full truck, and 1+ loads. Each tier has a configurable min-price and max-price so customers see a price range that reflects job-level variance. The tiers are visible to customers on the booking widget via an interactive truck-fill slider and are used by the AI phone agent when it quotes callers.

From the dashboard Settings → Pricing → Price Book tab. Set min-price and max-price for each of the six load tiers, define your truck capacity in cubic yards, and set a minimum load fee. The Price Book is applied to all junk removal jobs by default — surcharges stack on top. On the Essential plan the Price Book is basic (junk-only tiers). Starter and Growth unlock full Price Book editing plus surcharges and distance pricing.

Three built-in surcharge types: access difficulty (stairs, long carry, difficult parking), appliance fees (refrigerators, stoves, washers with Freon/tank surcharges), and heavy material (concrete, dirt, roofing per cubic yard). You can also define unlimited custom surcharges with a name, amount, and active/disabled toggle. Surcharges appear as separate line items on the customer-facing quote so pricing is transparent.

Define distance tiers in the Price Book: e.g., 0–15 miles = $0 surcharge, 15–30 miles = $25, 30–50 miles = $50. The customer's ZIP code is geocoded via Google Maps during booking to calculate distance from your yard, then the matching tier surcharge is automatically added to the quote. The AI phone agent uses the same distance logic when callers give their address. No manual zone drawing required.

Yes — one PriceBook drives every pricing surface. Your SEO website booking widget fetches live prices from the dashboard every time a customer opens it. The AI phone agent loads your current tier config, surcharges, and distance rules at the start of every call, so callers hear the same prices as people booking online. When you update a tier or add a surcharge, every surface reflects the change on the next request — no cache rebuilds, no republishing.

Dumpster rentals use a separate pricing model (Growth plan only). Per-size container pricing (10-, 20-, 30-, 40-cu-yd): base rate, included rental days, weight allowance in tons, overage rate per ton, and extended daily rate for rentals beyond the included window. Configure at Settings → Pricing → Dumpster Pricing. Both pricing systems can run in parallel — the booking widget shows a separate flow for each service type.

Enter your truck type, material type, target gross margin, dump rate, fuel cost, labor rate, and crew size — the calculator outputs recommended prices per tier with margin analysis against national medians. Once you're happy with a pricing model, mirror those tiers in the dashboard Price Book.

Essential ($49/mo) includes basic Price Book (junk-only tiers with min/max pricing). Starter ($149/mo) adds full surcharge configuration, distance pricing tiers, and syncing to the customer portal. Growth ($299/mo) adds dumpster rental pricing per container size, dump facility cost tracking per ton, and pricing variance reports that show how often your quoted prices match actual job revenue.
