Seminole County facilities at approximately $37.58/ton (2023 FDEP data) are the cheapest in the metro — $16.62/ton less than Orange County. Within Orange County, C&D at $41.10/ton at the landfill is the lowest rate. MSW is $54.20/ton, up from $39.75/ton in 2023 (~13% annual increases). Yard waste is $46.80/ton. Gate fee minimum is $9 at all Orange County facilities. Verify Seminole County accepts waste originating from your service area.
Orange County tipping fees have risen approximately 13% annually — from $39.75/ton in 2023 to $54.20/ton in FY2026 (effective October 1, 2025). These increases reflect rising operational costs, landfill capacity management, and infrastructure investments. Budget for continued annual increases when pricing long-term commercial contracts. Build rate escalation clauses into any ongoing service agreements to protect your margins against future fee hikes.
No. Neither Porter Transfer Station nor McLeod Road Transfer Station accepts construction and demolition debris. C&D is ONLY accepted at the Orange County Landfill (5901 Young Pine Road) at $41.10/ton. If you bring C&D to a transfer station, it will be rejected. Always separate C&D from MSW on-truck and route C&D directly to the landfill. This separation also saves $13.10/ton ($41.10 versus $54.20 for MSW).
Orange County Landfill: non-account holders Monday through Saturday 8AM–5PM; account holders Monday through Friday 4AM–5PM, Saturday 8AM–5PM. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. The 4AM early access for account holders is a significant advantage — 4 hours before non-account customers. Transfer stations (Porter, McLeod) have varying hours — call (407) 836-6601 for current schedules. Seminole County has independent hours.
Uncovered loads at all Orange County facilities are charged DOUBLE the standard tipping rate with no exceptions. For MSW, that means $108.40/ton instead of $54.20/ton. For C&D, $82.20/ton instead of $41.10/ton. On a 2-ton uncovered MSW load, the penalty costs an extra $108.40. Always tarp or cover every load before arriving. This is the most expensive uncovered-load penalty in the Orlando area and is strictly enforced at the scale.
